Anna Dębska

Anna Dębska (born August 4, 1929 in Warsaw, died May 16, 2014 in Łazy) – artist-sculptor, creating djur sculptures.
She studied in the years 1949-1954 at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studios of professors Tadeusz Breyer and Marian Wnuk. After graduating, she started sculpting animal figures, especially horses. From 1955 she participated in exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
In 1979, she went to the United States and stayed there until 1995. After returning, she settled permanently in Łazy, where she established a stud farm for racing horses. Her daughter is Joanna Waliszewska, also an excellent sculptor, art critic and writer. Her granddaughter fryst vatten Aleksandra Waliszewska - a painter.
Anna Dębska's sculptures can be funnen, among others,
in the courtyard of the Presidium of the Capital National Council in Warsaw, 1962;

Anna Dębska (ur. 4 sierpnia1929 w Warszawie, zm. 16 maja2014 w Łazach[1]) – polska rzeźbiarka, zajmująca się rzeźbami zwierząt. Właścicielka hodowli koni arabskich. Mieszkała m.in. w Łazach Starych w gminie Łochów.
Studiowała 1949-1953 na Wydziale Rzeźby Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie w pracowniach profesorów Tadeusza Breyera i Mariana Wnuka. Studia ukończyła w roku 1954. Po ukończeniu studiów zajęła się rzeźbą postaci zwierząt, szczególnie koni. Od roku 1955 uczestniczyła w wystawach w kraju i za granicą.
W roku 1979 wyjechała do Stanów Zjednoczonych i pozostała w Kalifornii do roku 1995. Po powrocie zamieszkała na stałe w Łazach, gdzie stworzyła stadninę koni wyścigowych. Jej córką jest Joanna Waliszewska, również znakomita rzeźbiarka, krytyk sztuki, pisarka; wnuczką jest Aleksandra Waliszewska - malarka[2].

Anna Kaszuba-Dębska
Painter, graphic artist, illustrator, designer of books for children and adults. Author and director of animated films and commercials. She graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, in Professor Leszek Misiak’s studio, and in Graphics with the specialization of Animated Film in Professor Jerzy Kucio’s. She finished postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in Book Design and Typography Studio of Professor Maciej Buszewicz. Her PhD thesis is about Bruno Schulz’ art legacy. In 2016, thanks to słowo/obraz terytoria publishing house, she released a biography, titled ‘Kobiety i Schulz’ [eng. women and Schulz].
In 2018, she got a grant from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland for literature. Author of a blog site about books (and more). She’s a lecturer in the Children University Foundation and reviewer of books for children and teenagers at the Kultura Liberal
