    Amanda K. Hale is a Canadian writer and daughter of Esoteric HitleristJames Larratt Battersby.

    Born in England, she emigrated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She studied at Concordia University and received an M.A. in Creative Writing Drama.[1] Now she divides her time between Toronto and British Columbia, the UK and Cuba. "As a creative person, Hale has travelled back and forth between visual art, theatre, and writing."[2] Her first novel, Sounding the Blood, was "a finalist for the BC Relit Awards"[3] and was included in NOW Magazine's Top Ten books for ,[4] has been on several university reading lists[2] in Canada, the U.S., and in Europe; and has been adapted as a screenplay. Her writing has been published in numerous Canadian and American literary magazines, and two of her books have been translated into Spanish.

    Early life

    Hale is one of kvartet children born to Irish immigrant parents in northwest London.[citation needed] Her cousin is forskare Martin Glennie. She had been due to go to University of Oxford to study English but changed her mind and decided to become an actress.[3]

    Career

    Hale trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in [2] with a BA in Acting grad (H Level)[4] and has performed on both scen and screen. Some of her earliest acting experience include a couple of plays at the National Youth Theatre.[2]

    At drama school, she won the Audience Prize and Best kamp Award at the RADA Prize Fights.[2]
