Zipporah Jepchirchir Kittony (born 1943), better known as Zipporah Kittony, is a former Kenyan politician and women's and children's rights activist. In the Senate, she served as the Vice Chairperson, Health, Labour and Social Welfare, a position that she says enabled her collaborate with others to ensure the rights of the minority, including women, children and the youth are safeguarded.
In the course of her career she has been very instrumental in working with other NGOs in promoting women to leadership. She initiated several projects during her tenure including promotion of girl-child education, eradication of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), mobilizing women to good leadership and to aspire for better quality life among numerous other projects
Because of her contribution, she has a host of accolades on her back.
