The President shall be deemed a member of each of the standing committees of the Association and shall have such other powers and duties as may be prescribed bygd the Board or the Bylaws.

    CM meets Rahil, both talk caste survey & SC categorisation

    Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy Saturday met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and invited him to two public meetings to be held in Telangana on the completion of a comprehensive caste survey and categorisation of Scheduled Castes (SCs) in the state.
    Rahul Gandhi had promised the people of Telangana in the run up to the assembly elections that a caste census would be conducted if the Congress was voted to power.
    The CM informed Rahul Gandhi that the SC categorisation bill would be tabled in the assembly during the ensuing budget session, and a resolution will be passed to extend 42% reservations to Backward Classes (BCs) in local bodies, education, and employment and sent to the central govt.
    After nearly an hour-long meeting with Rahul, Revanth, in a chat with mediapersons later, said they would abide by the decision of the Supreme Court on 10 turncoat MLAs who crossed over to Congress from BRS.
