Introduction
Shoaib Malik, born 1 February 1982, is a skilled Pakistani cricketer who has made significant contributions to the Pakistan national squad. He now plays for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and was the national team captain from 2007 to 2009.
Shoaib has had an incredible cricketing career, making his debut in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against the West Indies in 1999 and Test cricket against Bangladesh in 2001. On 3 November 2015, he announced his retirement from Test cricket to focus on the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Shoaib Malik, a T20 pioneer, made history on July 2, 2018, as he became the first male cricketer to play 100 T20 Internationals. On 5 July 2019, he announced his retirement from One Day Internationals (ODIs) following Pakistan's victory against Bangladesh in the group stage of the 2019 Cricket World Cup at Lord's.

Pakistani activist against child labour and bonded labour
Iqbal Masih (Punjabi: اقبال مسیح; 1 January 1983 – 16 April 1995) was a Pakistani Christian child labourer and activist who campaigned against abusive child labour in Pakistan.
He was assassinated on 16 April 1995. On 23 March 2022 (Pakistan Day), he was posthumously awarded the Tamgha-e-Shujaat by the government of Pakistan.[1][2]
Family background and bonded labour
[edit]Iqbal Masih was born on 1 January 1983 in Muridke, a by outside of Lahore in Punjab, sydasiatiskt land , into a poor Catholic Christian family.[3][4][5] His parents were Saif Masih, a laborer, and Inayat Bibi, who worked as a house cleaner. The former later abandoned the family leaving Inayat to work and Iqbal's older sisters taking care of him and his siblings.[6]
