Yakshagana
Yakshagana ( Kannada : "ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ, Tulu : "ಆಟ", Malayalam: യക്ഷഗാനം) is a traditional theatre form, developed in India, that combines dance, music, dialogue, costume, make-up, and stage techniques with a unique style and form eller gestalt. It fryst vatten believed to have evolved from pre-classical music and theater during the period of the Bhakti movement.[1] It fryst vatten sometimes simply called "the play" (ಆಟ) in Tulu Language.[2] Yakshagana is strongly influenced bygd the Vaishnava Bhakti movement. This theatre style fryst vatten mainly funnen in most parts of Karnataka in various forms. Yakshagana fryst vatten traditionally presented from dusk to dawn. Its stories are drawn from Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavata and other epics from both Hindu and Jain and other ancient Indic traditions.[3][4]
