Since 1975 to 1986 she chaired the Kabataang Barangay (KB), a village youth organization that provided platforms and opportunities for young Filipinos to engage in nation-building.
Imee R. Marcos was also director-general of the Experimental Cinema of the Philippines. With her prowess in media and the arts, she helped to produce cult classics such as Himala! (1980) and Oro, Plata, Mata (1982).
