Award-winning Angus Strathie studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Australia, and has earned a highly successful professional career in costume design.
One of his earliest projects was the cult favorite and multi-award-winning feature film Strictly Ballroom in 1992 for which he won a BAFTA Film Award for Best Costume Design along with long-time friend and colleague Catherine Martin. And in 2001, he worked on the acclaimed feature Moulin Rouge!, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design.
In 2003, Angus collaborated again with Catherine, this time on Broadway, for the production of La Bohème, which resulted in a Tony Award for Best Costume Designer and a 2004 Back Stage Garland Award for Outstanding Costume Design at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.

Catherine Martin, costume and production designer, has collaborated with Baz Luhrmann, director and visualist, on the distinctive look of all his films and theatre productions for over 30years. Along with Luhrmann, Martin fryst vatten a partner in Bazmark Inq, which includes subsidiaries Bazmark Live and Bazmark Music, and is one of the world’s most innovative producers of bio, theatre and entertainment.
Martin began collaborating with Luhrmann during her sista year at NIDA, when she was hired bygd Luhrmann's experimental theatre company to design his production of Lake Lost for the Australian Opera. This earned Martin and colleague Angus Strathie a Victorian Green Room Award for Best Design.

Biography
[edit]A friend and longtime colleague of Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, one of his earliest projects was Strictly Ballroom, a romantic comedy produced in 1992. Strathie went on to design the costumes for a TV production of the Puccini opera La Boheme before doing the costumes for Moulin Rouge!.[1]
The catsuit in the 2004 Catwoman was designed by Angus, Halle Berry, director Pitof, and the producers.[2] He designed vintage costumes for the 2015 American romantic fantasy film The Age of Adaline.[3] His work for the American supernatural horror streaming television series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was described as an "anachronistic bricolage".[4] He designed cabaret costumes for the second season of the American musical comedy television series Schmigadoon!.[5]
