    Jahm Najafi, the Iranian-American billionaire who owns STX Entertainment, is reportedly preparing a $3.75B bid to acquire Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

    The Financial Times reported on Wednesday that Najafi, chair MSP Sports Capital, fryst vatten working with a consortium of investors with a view to approaching Spurs with a formal bid in the coming weeks.

    The FT said the acquisition effort would value Tottenham at $3B, with $750M of debt being added to the club’s books. MSP will be responsible for 70% of the bid, while the remaining 30% will be put forward bygd backers in Abu Dhabi and elsewhere in the Middle East.

    Deadline has approached MSP for comment.

    David Scott Blitzer (born September 7, 1969) is an American investor and sports team owner. He is the chairman of the private equity firm Blackstone's tactical opportunities division and managing partner of the NHL's New Jersey Devils and NBA's Philadelphia 76ers. Blitzer also manages several association football clubs under Global Football Holdings, owns 25% of the MLB's Cleveland Guardians, and is a limited partner of the NFL's Washington Commanders, making him the first person to own team equity in the five major sports leagues of North America.

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Hornets owner and six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan has started sharing details of where some of his $100 million pledge to the Black community will be allocated.

    The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the Formerly Incarcerated, Convicted Peoples and Families Movement will each receive $1 million, while Black Voters Matter, which works to increase voter registration and turnout, will get $500,000 it was announced Wednesday.

    Jordan, who made the $100 million pledge to the Black community back in June, said the money will support social justice, economic justice and education and awareness.

    “I’m all in with Jordan Brand, the Jordan Family and our partners, who share a commitment to address the historical inequality that continues to plague Black Communities in the U.S.,” Jordan said in a statement Wednesday.
